Energy Star Approved Light Bulbs
What is ENERGY STAR?
ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the US Environment Protection Agency (EPA)
and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) helping us all save money and
protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.
Savings
ENERGY STAR qualified CFLs use 66% less energy than a standard
incandescent bulb and last up to 10 times longer. Replacing a
100–watt incandescent with a 32–watt CFL can save you at least
$30 in energy cost over the lifetime of the bulb. Homeowners can save an estimated $60 per year by changing the most frequently
used light fixtures in their home with fixtures that have earned the ENERGY STAR label.
