There are a variety of applications for post and pier mounted exterior lighting. Pier mount lighting may be mounted directly onto decks or decorative columns by utilizing a pier base. Post mount lighting requires the selection of a post onto which to mount the exterior light. Some exterior post and pier mount lighting products are available in “dark-sky” configurations, as required by some local codes, to reduce light pollution. As with many outdoor lighting products, several lighting manufacturers offer a complete series of matching hanging, wall mounted, landscape and ceiling mounted fixtures to complement their post and pier mounted fixtures.
